Silverfish :

Silverfish are small, wingless insects with elongated, carrot-shaped bodies covered in shiny scales. They are silvery gray and prefer cool, moist areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. Silverfish move quickly in a fish-like manner and feed on starchy materials such as paper, glue, fabrics, and food crumbs. Their feeding can damage books, wallpaper, clothing, and stored pantry items. Nocturnal and elusive, infestations often go unnoticed until damage appears. While they don’t bite or spread disease, their presence signals moisture or heat issues in the home and can cause costly property damage. Effective control includes reducing humidity, sealing entry points, and removing food sources.
