Earwigs:

Earwigs are nocturnal insects recognized by their distinctive forceps-like pincers at the end of their abdomens. These pincers are used for defense, capturing prey, and mating displays. Earwigs are omnivorous, feeding on plants, decaying organic matter, and smaller insects. They prefer moist environments and often hide during the day. In cooler weather, earwigs may enter homes seeking shelter. Despite their menacing appearance, they are generally harmless to humans and can even be beneficial by feeding on garden pests.
